Jihad is not a dirty word
But people gasp at it’s mention.
It doesn’t deserve the negative connotations it gets around the world
But it’s considered as an extremist action.
Jihad does not mean terrorism
But to ignorant minds that has become the definition.
To some it’s considered a form of violent escapism
Like crazy muslims bombing themselves for gods mission

only able to come up with solutions that include blood and violence.
Jihad should not be categorized with war and death,
But it does because those who know the truth are silenced
With the fear of facing their last breath

Like a small flower struggling to grow from the hard ground
Its petals, leaves, and stem so delicate.
Whenever progress is made it is quickly shut down
Leaving no place left for pure innocence.

Growing amongst the rubble, a product of something demolished.
It is simply a struggle that has been labeled as a form of bloodshed.
